Yard Garden Chair

The Yard Garden Chair was designed by Stefan Diez for the brand emu.

The Italian label emu, a specialist in outdoor furnishings, sells diverse products with guaranteed quality and the resilience to withstand climatic conditions. The industrial designer Stefan Diez was inspired by the principle of elastic webbing to create this comfortable chair with signature features of the Yard collection that have passed rigorous tests for indoor and outdoor use.

The Yard Garden Chair by Stefan Diez features a powder-coated aluminium frame measuring 57cm in length, 51cm in breadth, and 81cm in height. Defined by an eclectic style, the seat has a height of 44cm. The woven elastic straps comprising the backrest and seat naturally fit into the tubular frame, guaranteeing optimum comfort, hence there is no need for cushioning. Because the Yard Garden Chair is stackable up to four, they allow easier transportation and storage. The elastic part merges with the extruded frame thanks to a patented clip, thereby forming a minimalist design with a pleasing visual impact. Thanks to the materials used, this garden chair is very lightweight. Air passes through the seat freely, offering welcome ventilation on a sunny day.
