The Colour Blend Rug 300 x 200cm has been created by Carole Baijings for the brand fatboy. Carole Baijings' design philosophy is one of comfort, simplicity and colour, and she is renowned for her creative use of pattern and colour, working as co-founder of the Scholten & Baijings design studio in Amsterdam.

The Colour Blend Rug 300 x 200cm is designed with a strong graphical motif comprising four coloured lines in shades of grey, navy, pink and peach, described as 'maple and midsummer'. The design resembles a spontaneous oversized numerical statement, which Baijing has created by intersecting colour blends to allow the rug's pattern to evolve in an organic way.

The Colour Blend Rug 300 x 200cm features the familiar oversized red fatboy label which is placed visibly to the side of the rug. The piece is crafted from a soft polyester blend that perfectly renders the layers and asymmetrical lines of the original design sketch. This article has a length of 300cm with a width of 200cm, and it weighs 8.3kg. It is also available in a second colourway. This rug can be gently washed and should be vacuumed to preserve its fibres.
