Hailing from artistic, indie Seattle in the USA, the company is all about having fun and embodying uniqueness. The brand was started in 2007 by two architects, Seth Grizzle and Jonathan Junker, who developed it in the USA prior to expanding into Europe in 2012. The company aims to create modern, multi-functional pieces that are reminiscent of organic forms and celestial bodies such as the Sun. Its trademark is the use of recycled cardboard in the manufacturing process to provide environmental sustainability without sacrificing visual appeal or functionality.

The Oliv Suspension Lamp embodies Graypants' hallmarks: stylish pieces constructed in recycled cardboard, a rustic finish and a sense of dynamic vibrancy. This stylish luminaire has a refined, barrel-like shape with earthy, neutral colour tones that work well with any décor style. A closer look reveals the lamp's sophisticated, ripple-like outer texture, which allows glare-free ambient light to radiate outwards into the space. Measuring 22cm high and 19cm in diameter, the lamp is relatively compact and its narrow shape works well in groups above tables or in hallways.
