Turbo Suspension Lamp Ø36cm

The Turbo Suspension Lamp Ø36cm has been created by Louis Weisdorf for the brand Gubi. The design was inspired by traditional Japanese lamps that have a light, airy look because of the rice paper it is made of. The 1967 lamp incorporates both vintage and modern touches which makes it timeless.

One of the details on the Turbo Suspension Lamp Ø36cm that gives it old-school charm is its shiny exterior which is reminiscent of a disco ball. Its orb-shaped shade is made of aluminium strips. They are finished with glossy paint on the exterior and a matte gloss inside so the lamp casts a soft, white light. They are reinforced with invisible steel rods. The final look resembles that of petals when a flower is in full bloom. The shade conceals a light source within its folds. When the lamp is on, it creates a halo effect because light is cast not only downwards but all around through the openings in between the strips. Available in neutral colours, it is not dimmable.

The Turbo Suspension Lamp Ø36cm has a height of 36cm and a diameter of 36cm. Its cable has a length of 380cm. It works with an E27 socket and the bulb has to be purchased separately.
