Nuvole Vagabonde S Suspension Lamp

The Nuvole Vagabonde S Suspension Lamp was designed by Elio Martinelli for his own manufacturing brand Martinelli Luce. It was designed in 1999 as part of a series of table, floor and ceiling lamps. Martinelli's work was characterised by a type of organic geometry; his creations were at once rationalistic and expressive. He drew his inspiration for this design from clouds and how they filter light, creating a play of light and shadow that ultimately results in soft and delicate illumination.

The lampshade on this suspension lamp is made up of round plates of white opal methacrylate, overlapping like petals on a flower, creating a delicate appearance. The design and materials generate the soft, diffused lighting that Elio Martinelli wanted to achieve, creating an interplay of light and shadow that emphasises the uniqueness of the Nuvole Vagabonde S Suspension Lamp.

This suspension lamp is compact, with a diameter of 40cm and a 40cm height on the lampshade. It can be used as an individual suspension lamp or grouped together to create an eye-catching lighting feature. It requires a halogen tube E27 / 100W bulb, which can be ordered as an accessory.
